I am 24 days from my first bodybuilding show. The bf is dropping nicely and striations are coming upper body and calves. My quads seem to be lagging in the cuts. should I be worried? I added some additional plyo work as a 2nd leg day and have hitting them hard on leg day. Thoughts?
Avatar pic was taken 2 weeks ago, just so you have an idea.

try to drop more water..that's probably all it is.
Or you might just be one of those people that doesn't get cuts in their quads!!!

Hey there...What has helped me is doing weighted wall sits. But heavy weight! Brings a nice cut when doing side poses (shows split of ham and quad) also in the front in the "tear drop" section. Try doing 2-3 (45lb) plates holding them in wall sit fashion for up to a minute or longer. I know you are "cutt'n" and not "bulk'n" but this has always worked for me and people have always made comments about my quads and the muscle seperation. Also, doing very slow isolated leg extentions as heavy as you can and holding as long as you can at top of muscle contraction.
If it is striation related... look at your water intake. Unsure if you are going to do a water flush or sodium load etc., etc.? This may do the trick.
Hope this helped a little. I am no expert, but just sharing what has worked for me.

At this point in the game, keep your cardio going strong. Sodium and water manipulation in the last couple of days leading up to the show are what will help really dial everything in.

Prepration H them with cream 3 days out and some people do it for a week to help soak up the water. It's an old trick but works! Rub it everywhere you think you are really holding water. Sometimes the legs are the last to come in. Most women hold water in legs as well as the lower back, so don't worry. Worring makes you hold water too, so relax and enjoy the ride you are almost finished. Keep your eye on the prize and try not to stress.
You have nothing to worry about. My friend can keep a 6 pack all year long but his legs don't show until about a week before his show. I am the opposite. My legs always stay somewhat cut, but not my abs.

I will agree with what everyone else has said...I have no new info for ya and I don't know what advice to give! Just keep up the good work, eat well, do cardio, lift heavy and I'm sure in your last week it will all fall into place. Good luck, you're gonna knock em dead!

My coach was NOT pleased with leg progress last night. She said I look like 2 different people attached at the waist. I am in crunch time now and upping the cardio big and dropping the cals for a shock the system effect. Crap. Not looking forward to the next week. :ugh: However, I have worked too hard not to go into this contest in the best physical condition I can be in. RAMP IT UP!
