its been a long road, and continues to be for my knee surgery recovery. I've been basically riding solo on my therapy due to the fact that there really isn't a protocol for my injury. Both the PT and the place by my house never heard of the injury. They know what it is, but don't have experience treating it. So I've been rehabbing like an ACL tear and basically have been going by how I feel. So far so good, I finally have a quad muscle lol. the only thing that concerns me right now is my good leg, which is in pain most of the time for the additional weight I put on it. Anyway, the Quad is back and I will slowing build up again:headbange

no just made me realize how shallow and well sad it was for me to put being big above other things way more important.

wow, awesome to hear you say that bro, I myself have learned this past year that family is more important than ANYTHING, it took me having a night job (being away from my family) to realize that, sometimes we all take things for granted

as good as its going to get, is about as well as I can describe it. I'm really not to happy on the way things turned out. In an average week, the knee causes pain 75% of the time. There is some unconventional popping that I'm sure is not normal. I would venture to say that I experienced less pain before the surgery, than after. On the up side, I do see my doctor tomorrow, so him and I will have a lot to talk about.

fallowing the physical therapy protocol. Could do leg press and stuff like that, but obviously don't go crazy on the weights. Things like that are manageable, but they are just that, I can do them, but the aftermath is ridiculous. Hell, I had a hard time dancing last night due to the pain, for NYE. That's pretty shitty if you ask me.

well my Doc visit went as expected. He did a quick x-ray of my knee. Everything looks like its healing, BUT the issues I am experiencing are do to the lack of cartilage in the knee. He explained to me that there are various areas of the knee that have cartilage, including the most important meniscus(shock absorb). I have none. zip, nada. The way he put it, "knee is in pretty bad shape". So whats next. Well we are giving it another 2 months to see if it heals completely. Don't me to start taking joint supps regularly(have in the past, noticed nothing). If it doesn't get any better then I will have to go in for a more serious surgery in which I will have both a meniscus and other cartilage transplanted from a donor body. In a way I would like to get it done because it will make my knee as close to normal as it can be, but with the possible job opportunity I have right now, I can't make the commitment to take time off and get this major surgery done.

Wouldn't doing a total knee replacement fix the problem?
it would be considered a partial knee replacement. The rest of the stuff I assume is fine now
